"Keltica Iron Age Village" has
been designed to be a centre for award winning cultural tourism and
educational excellence.
Keltica's mandate is not only to research the culture of the Ancient
Celtic people in Europe 2000 years ago, to promote archaeology and
understanding but also to support and be the focus of the modern
Celtic peoples in 21st Century North America.
It will be the only place in North America where all aspects of
the ancient Celts are presented, along with their fields, fences,
iron-age houses, other buildings and animals>
Also at Keltica, you will find lecture facilities as well as a
unique experience for visitors who wish to become a part of our
Total Living History Experience.
Every day, visitors will be encouraged to not only use their
imaginations but also, as far as possible to use their five
senses to experience what it might have been like living 2000
years ago.
For those who wish to do so, a visit to Keltica will begin with
a short introductory talk in our Visitor Centre of the
historical period portrayed. Then if requested, a tour around
the site will follow lasting about an hour. Be prepared to
become involved in the extensive living theatre on site and to
be given activities which we believe the Celts and the Romans
might have performed.
I am confident that what we will soon have on offer to our
visitors each day will add up to an unforgettable, enjoyable and
highly instructive day adventure for all.
Sincerely,
W. Marshall-Hall
