These very special two day and five day programs have been
designed to raise the bar against all other competitors. The
Total Living History Experience will bring together a wide
selection of skills which suit family, corporate, senior
citizens, children’s summer boot camp and private bookings. You
will learn the effectiveness of teamwork, the importance of
discipline, Confidence building and Leadership not to mention
develop your artistic abilities and leave the experience with a
greater understanding of not only yourself, but also the world
around you. Participants of the Total Living History Experience
will also gain a deeper appreciation for the ancient world in a
way which can never be fulfilled through text books or the
static museum exhibits of the last 50 years alone.
Keltica’s Total Living History Weekends
The 24/2 Total Living History weekends will be a cross between
the full living history experience and our successful workshops.
They will be designed specifically for visitors who wish to
concentrate on learning a specific art such as Weaving, Pottery,
Farming, Charcoal Smelting or Iron Age cooking; but who also want to
wear the costumes and eat the food and sleep in and experience the
delight of waking up in a Celtic roundhouse.
Keltica Daily Workshops
At Keltica we will offer a wide selection of daily workshops. These
are designed for visitors who want to learn a craft but whom either
do not have the time to spare or do not want the discomfort of
wearing the ancient clothes and eating the food or staying on site
overnight.
Daily workshops may include:
- The gentle art of Thatching
- Basket weaving
- Herbs and Medicine
- Constructing a mosaic floor
- Learning to Wattle & Daube
- Understanding Iron Production
