Welcome! Keltica Iron Age Village is an organization
designed to be a centre of educational excellence, accurately
portraying not only the time when the ancient Celtic culture was
at its zenith, but also to explore what impact colliding with the mighty Roman Empire had on it. We then trace
the Celtic culture to the present day.
Through its threefold innovative and imaginative interpretation
programs, this new day adventure will offer three choices for
the visitor, Education, Entertainment and our ground breaking 24/5 Total Living History Experience.
However, Keltica Iron Age Village will be more than just
another reconstructed living history museum. It will be the only
education & Research facility worldwide, to feature a Celtic hill fort, a
full sized Roman fortress, a banqueting hall and Gladiator arena
together on the same site.
Not only will visitors
come and see gladiators fight, but on long summer evenings Keltica will offer evening concerts from contemporary Celtic
musicians, performers and poets.
If you want a Celtic or Roman Style Wedding then Keltica is for
you. It is our intention to eventually offer Roman Spa weekends
where you will be able to relax in our Roman Villa, enjoy
healthy meals prepared for you by our chef, swim in the Roman
Bathhouse, work out in the Gymnasium and end the day enjoying
massages with aromatic oils.
We have designed Keltica to promote, preserve & protect the
significant contribution that the people of Celtic stock have
had on the history of mankind for the past 2000 years. Whether
you have, Irish, French, Welsh, German, Manx, Scots, Iberian or
Cornish heritage, or whether your ancestors hail from the
furthest reaches of the Roman Empire, Britain, Western Europe,
Eastern Europe, Syria, Egypt or North Africa, Keltica will
be relevant to you.
We will have a host of other events held at Keltica throughout
the year including:
- Storytelling and Music
- Fiery Celtic warriors in single combat
- Live Theatre including The Passion Play & The life of St Patrick
- Children’s day adventures
